Since its inception in 2003 the IOSA audit methodology has remained relatively constant. As operators became more adept in maintaining conformance with the IATA standards it was apparent that such operators would be eligible to undergo a greater level of scrutiny in assessing levels of quality and safety assurance implementation.
A new model of renewal audit has been developed by IATA to provide greater oversight of an operator’s own quality and safety assurance process to ensure conformity to the IATA standards is maintained throughout the IOSA audit registration period. An operator’s internal audit program is required to include a process to carry out regular assessments against the IOSA Standards and Recommended Practices (ISARPs) over a 24-month period. Qualified auditors are required to carry out such a task and the Howard Aviation Consultants Ltd team are able to carry out such assessments as part of your internal audit programme in addition to developing your own auditors for such an undertaking.
